You won't sleep after hearing this: The deep-sea anglerfish has a special organ on its head that's home to a colony of bioluminescent bacteria, which it uses to lure prey in the dark depths of the ocean. This symbiotic relationship is so strong that the bacteria can even influence the fish's behavior. But that's not all - the anglerfish also has a unique mating system, where the male is much smaller than the female and attaches itself to her body, eventually fusing with her skin and becoming a source of sperm. This bizarre mating ritual is still not fully understood by scientists.
